Terence J. Barna

Terry is a 1994 graduate of The Dickinson School of Law, where he was a Member of the Dickinson Law Review, and a 1991 graduate of Villanova University, where he majored in Political Science and History. Prior to his association with the BennLawFirm, Terry served as law clerk to the Honorable John C. Uhler, Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of York County, from 1994-1996.

Terry concentrates his practice in media law, business and corporate law, and estate administration. A member of the Firm since 1996, he specializes in print media cases addressing defamation claims, access issues, the Right-to-Know Law and subpoenaing of reporters. He has been a lecturer on media-related issues at the annual Media Lawyers Conference of the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association.

He is admitted to practice before the courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Terry is also a member of the York County and the Pennsylvania Bar Associations.

Terry is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the York County Literacy Council, a human service organization dedicated to advancing adult and family literacy in York County, and previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of York County.
